About Wiser Now, Inc.
Wiser Now, Inc. is an outgrowth of my earlier company, Better Directions, Inc. which was incorporated in 1991. Better Directions was best known for its monthly, international, award-winning newsletter for Alzheimer’s caregivers, Wiser Now. Therefore, when I reformulated my company after spending several years in the corporate world, I decided to use the “Wiser Now” name for all my endeavors.
I have a master’s degree in instructional technology which I have put to use over the last decades primarily as a multi-media curriculum developer for long-term care clients. To read my brief biography click here and to read my resume click here. I am known for being both highly practical (providing information that can be put to instant use) and light-hearted. (People learn more when they have fun learning.) But I am absolutely serious about teaching new skills because learning hasn’t happened unless behavior changes. I don’t want staff to just do their best. I want them to know WHAT TO DO. At the same time, this is my mantra:
Laughter builds rapport.
Rapport builds trust.
Trust builds relationships.
Building relationships is the purpose of everything I do, and how to build them is the ultimate focus of all my staff training.

Curriculum development
I have a master’s degree in instructional technology which I have put to use over the last decades primarily as a multi-media curriculum developer for long-term care clients. (People learn more when they have fun learning.) But I am absolutely serious about teaching new skills, because learning hasn’t happened unless behavior changes. I don’t want staff to just do their best. I want them to know WHAT TO DO.

Apples symbolize teachers and learning.
Owls symbolize wisdom, and the name of my company is Wiser Now.
